Capturing those precious moments in life - the
sleepiness of newborn, the toe sucking of an infant, the
unsteady steps of a toddler, the joy and wonderment in a
child's eyes, the smiles and giggles, and even the
frowns... I love taking photos of all kinds, but I find
children to be the most wonderful subject of all. In
each photo, I strive to show them as they really are, in
all their innocence and individuality.
I love capturing natural expressions and combine
these with some portraiture, but I find that a candid
approach is the best way to bring out a child's
personality. My style is artistic, simple, and
about life. I photograph on location - in your home, in
a park, or any place you and your children can feel
relaxed, be yourselves, and have fun.
My interest in photography started after my husband
bought me my first camera in 2003. It came with
some manual options on it and I decided I wanted to
learn how to use it. I took photos of anything and
everything. I signed up for a photography class a
couple of months later and then joined a photography
club. I found that I absolutely loved photography
and the ability to not only capture memories but be
artistic. Photography made me stop, see more, and
appreciate things more. It was after my first
session with a three-month-old and his parents that my
interest in child and family photography blossomed.
And since becoming a parent myself, my passion for child
and family photography grew dramatically. Nothing is
more fulfilling than capturing an emotion, an
expression, or a moment.
